Magnum Boots: from 0 to 100 in 40 years

Magnum Boots evolved from Hi-Tec Sports, the footwear company founded by Frank van Wezel in 1974. It was Frank's love of sports that led him to create an innovative, lightweight and instantly comfortable sports shoe.

The first Magnum shoe was born in 1982 through a request from the FBI training centre for a strong and lightweight, athletically built, black tactical shoe. Once the FBI spread the word, came the demand to supply this product across the country, as more and more law enforcement and security personnel wanted the comfort and super-light performance Magnum offers.

With a solid reputation built in the US, demand increased from around the world. As a result, the Magnum product range was expanded to meet the wide range of high-performance needs of professionals working in high-pressure environments worldwide.

Today, the Magnum brand is sold in nearly 100 countries around the world. It is the first choice for police, fire, security, ambulance, hospitality, healthcare, construction and industry professionals.
